Why can't they get it right?

I contacted Keystone about one of the wheel bracket on the rolling island in our 3100rl. The spindle that the wheel goes on is bent causing the wheel to lock every time you move the island. I tried to bend it back straight and it won't budge so it had to come from the factory that way. Keystone gave me two vendors to contact about replacing it. I called one of them and the girl found the part (even described it to me) and said that the part had to come from Keystone and she would order it for me. Got the box today, opened it only to find two large wheels that look like the ones on furniture movers. Not even close to what I need. Why can't I get someone from Keystone to get the part I need? And don't even suggest Camping World parts. I am still waiting on warranty pieces from last Sept that they never ordered! All that you can do is describe the part and what it goes on to the sales people, and it still ain't right. Come on, the wheel bracket on the island in the 3100rl. How hard can that be?

Sounds like Keystone should at least be able to give you a part #.

Bet you Keystone could replace the rolling island. They probably don't have a clue about a part number for the wheel assembly, because they order the entire cart with wheels from the vendor. Your best bet, if you don't want the cart replaced, would be replace all the wheel assemblies on the cart with similar wheels, or even a bit heavier. Probably would be less stressful than dealing with Keystone or the vendor.

We have found Keystone service center to be very good about finding part numbers. If I need a specific part I call the service center and they have not yet failed me. I wonder what the girl was talking about when she said the part had to come from Keystone as it is doubtful that keystone would have that part in stock. My guess is that she meant that the part had to be ordered through Keystone as very few vendors will deal directly with the customer.

We had the same problem and my dealer just replaced them with wheels that were purchased at Menard's. They are readily available at any Lowes, Home Depot, etc. and are of a better quality.

Finally found the part. Crystal at Tiara RV has been working with me and after I sent her a pic of the bent shaft, she was able to locate the whole wheel assembly for me. I have to send her the others back, and she said that she would "eat the shipping".Will wait and see how thus turns out. I just don't get it that my model is the only one with the movable island, so if you need wheels for it, they should know what you are asking for. I wish that my dealer would have fixed it like we asked, but we are still waiting for items from Aug. 2013. They will jump on the job when the money is coming out of my pocket, but act like they don't care when it is warranty work. They just don't get it.
