What size is the socket for the new Monty's
What size socket fits the 8 lug 9/16" stud 110 psi wheels? I want to pick up my new Monty tomorrow, and let them know I care about checking the torque on the lug nuts

Didn't know they had gone to 9/16 inch studs. Everything in the past has been 1/2 inch, and they take either 7/8 or slightly larger socket, depending on the lug nut used.

I use a 13/16 on my 2015. 8 studs are 1/2 inch.

Well I just got my new 2017 3820FK Monty to my house, and I have 8 lug wheels that use a 3/4" socket? I have the Goodyear G614's on them? Wonder why they went with the smaller lug nuts?

Probably just a different supplier. I do know, using a deep 7/8" impact socket, that there is very little clearance in the wheel recess when working on the lug nuts. It's possible, too, that the newer wheels have an even smaller recess, which would require the smaller lug nut.

And there you have it.. There is absolutely NO solid ground in the RV manufacturing industry. No codes,no standards,no inspections and no documentation. They are like, snowflakes or, women, or......Each one is different.
