Vent covers

On the roof of our 09 365REQ there are two vents. They are about 4 to 6 inches in diameter and not very tall. I think they are "attic" vents. At any rate, time and the sun have eaten them up, and I wondered if the tops can be replaced like the drain vent caps can. Anyone have a guess?

Measure yours to be sure, but it's probably one of these: https://www.amazon.com/RecPro-RV-Att...ttic+roof+vent

The old cap should unscrew from the base. If the base looks OK then just screw the new cap on.

Agree with above. I just replaced both of mine. Bought new ones, unscrewed the old caps, unscrewed the new caps, screwed new caps on old bases.

Put a coat of plastic paint on the new caps first. Might make them hold up to the sun a little better.

You do have to purchase the whole vent assembly however. It's to bad that this is the case but things happen. I replaced mine on my old unit and if you would like the base I can see if I can find them in our extra parts area. LOL Seriously, I have seen where some have taken their old ones off and sprayed them with white paint that is specifically for plastics and put them back on. Haven't tried this but if my 2013 unit happens to get this dreaded condition I just may try. At the present I put some 303 on them about two or three times a year and they are doing fine!

I just bought 2 of these. Keystone part # 102776. Had to buy the complete unit but only used the screw on part. Several RV places had no clue what these were but the local Keystone dealer, Mike Thompsons knew exactly what I was talking about.

Thank you all for responding! I'll measure today or tomorrow, but this looks like the part. My old caps are really bad, in fact a piece popped off on this week when I was cleaning the roof. I that Amazon price a decent one, or would it be easy to pick one up at a dealer?

Think they're called "Mushroom Attic Vent".
