Staying Cool in Tucson in Summer?
It's spring in Tucson, and our sunny-side walls sizzle. Our leased parking space doesn't allow our awning to put any shade on the Montana in the afternoon. What will we do in the summer?!!
My wife says add an air conditioner, but we have only 30 amp service. If we do add a unit, we'll either have to rewire (sounds like a big job) or find a way to hook it up to the park 50 amp service bypassing the trailer wiring.
I guess there are other options, like tin foil in the windows (I would rather not). We have several fans but moving air around those hot walls just seems to cool down the hot spot while warming up everything else. We could all just huddle beneath the existing A/C, but our grandson sleeps in a convertable sofa in the LR and we like to retreat to the bedroom. We want to keep our mobility, since we're retired. Someone's going to say get out of Dodge (Tucson)! We will do that sometimes, but that's where our grandson's family lives (he's 5).
