TV U-joint trouble - lost jack so solution was...
It was a trying day since I lost the bottle jack, but WV engineering skills quickly surfaced and I was able to save the day.....
Where there is a will there is a way, worst part of it was I felt a little unsafe since I didn't have my hardhat on?????????

Good eyes, the gas tank was in the way and I couldn't get a wrench on the u-joint, so I figured I would weld a strap on the tank to hold it up out of my way!!!

It is a long story undeserving of wasting the space on this fine forum, however I will say that it had something to do with the aerodynamic features of the louvered tailgate and a rapid sliding stop!!!!! Ha Ha!!!

Well, at least you chocked the back wheel on the ground from rolling backwards. However, I don't think the grass weed will keep it from rolling forward.
So nice you are still here to explain your good fortune!

C'mon Wayne, safety is the main issue always, I assure you the front tire was chocked also, you just can't see it in the photo. There is no way I would want the truck to roll in any direction with me under it, right?????

Bingo, I work in the Fleet Maintenance Dept of a large trucking company and I am trained to look for unsafe behaviors. I would like to point out that you should be wearing welding safety glasses in this situation. Sparks could bounce off that fuel tank right into your eyes.

For everyone that hasn't figured this out, this thread is TOTALLY tongue-in-cheek (I believe all the respondent's knew this by the tone of the responses). An administrator PM'd me asking about it, so in the interest of not providing any information that can be construed incorrectly, we have decided to move this thread to the Sitting Around the Campfire topic. Sorry if there was any hint of reality to the posting, but I do get to go camping in a week and a half!!!!

I think leaning back against that 4 x 4 could result in some sort of spinal compression injury at the very least.
