Stained glass door windows

Has anyone found a source for a stained glass replacement window for the newer large-sized door windows?

Warren,
While we were in Jackson I saw Ken & Pat Pyles' rig and they had purchased and installed a stained glass window for their long window. It looked very nice and they got it in Algadones Mexico while in Quartzsite this year. Maybe they will chime in on this thread or you could email or PM them.

Jack

The stained glass guy we frequent in Los Algadones had about 4-5 of the new style windows each time we were there. Compared to the 100's of the older sized windows, there wasn't much of a selection. Ken and Pat did get a nice one though. They will make one to order if you have the time (2 weeks) to wait for it.

Looks like you will have to join us in Quartzsite next year.

P.S. Somewhere around here I have a business card for the guy. Do you want his information?

Carl-- I'd like the info incase we come down next year. We hunted all over while down there for the larger size window but couldn't find any. Hopefully, next time we will come down to Q and head down to get a stained glass window for the POSSIBLE new Monte too!

Hi Rondo, The guy we got our window from in Algadones didn't have the windows setting out on display. We have bought several items from him and when we inquired he showed us where they were. He only had three designs. Humming birds, clear diamonds and the desert one we got. After we installed it we told him how well it fit. He was very happy and said next year he would have lots of them. I've never posted a picture but if you are interested I can try. Ken

Here is a business card from the shop in Los Algadones where many of us have bought stained glass windows. The older style, of which there is a large supply, usually costs between $45-$60 depending on your negotiation skills (and how busy they are). The larger windows are new for them and the supply is much less. As I recall, the price is around $150 or less.

The location of their shop (in an alley) is shown on the little map below. As a point of reference, you enter Los Algadones from the right traveling south on 2nd street.

If you are wondering what a stained glass window looks like, here are a few examples (in the older more rectangular size)

Thanks Carl! Hopefully we will make it back down to Q next year-- we didn't get to see everything we wanted to down there and we just may have to return and finish our exploring. Really enjoyed Q and it wasn't near as tough ROUGHING IT as we were told!

I figured that the guy in Mexico was about the only source at this time. For my 2955, we found an rver back east that made them, but they aren't doing the larger size.

Thanks for all the info.

For the 2955, Algonones is the place to go. My wife found one she really liked in the Q for $195. I said no and we would have to talk about it. We went to Yuma after Q and I went to Algonones and found one just as good for $40 ( I got a special price being the first sale of the day). Don't take the first, second or third price and walk away at least once. The prices become better each time.

Thanks everyone. We're working just north of Yuma next winter and will be down there for sure.

Does anyone know if this guy has a website and will he ship? We won't be going down there and we would really like one of the door windows. Thank you
