Satillite Dish Help

New to Dish Network and need help with a few aspects. We are now moving around and not wanting to hook up the dish over-nite in parks that offer cable. We have a 2008 Montana 3075 with a VIP222k receiver. I tryed switching the other nite but could not get the cable. Turned off the ant. amp. and switched the tv input but no results. Also disconnected and unplugged the receiver. Help if you can. Thank you for any help

George

George, possibly I can help with your problem. When you connect your satellite receiver you remove the jumper cable from the dual connectors on the side of your cabinet to connect your satellite receiver. To switch back to cable operation you must re-connect the jumper to the dual connections.

To make the operation quicker i have installed an A/B switch to make the change a simple and instant one.

I am proably the last person that doesn't have a satelite dish to set up when we get to where we want to be. We have been thinking about getting satelite for the stick house that we can take with us when we hit the road. A couple things holding us back is the cost and what brand to buy. Now we are thinking about spending winters and traveling to some out of the way places and the little lady thinks she wants TV. Those of you that have satelite that is used at home and on the road, what are some of the good/bad points of each brand? Like I said before, this is new to us. Thanks
