I used a 3" gate hinge. Any hing bolted to the black strap and attached to the slide frame will work.
Others have used tie wraps for temporary fix.
Good luck.

This is what my hinge fix looks like (I have 3 of them):

I hope the link works.

I cut the black support to create a straight edge, then attached one side of the hinge with 4 screws/washers/nuts, then drill holes in the metal support where the other side of the support was located. 4 more screws/lock washers/nuts to attach the other side of the hinge on the frame and voila. The hinge provides the movement of the plastic support as the slide extends or retracks.

I will probably have to lube the hinge on occasion and check the torque of the hardware, but this is working for me so far. I have not seen any evidence of cracking so far.

Other members have used more substantial hardware but hopefully you get the idea.

Did the same as Art a few years back. Still working fine. I did use a 4inch galvanized gate hinge with 1/4 inch bolts in the plastic and self tapping screws in the metal portion. THEN, I painted it all black to match the rest of the rig. Got an A+ from the DW. I think this was my first repair on the Monty......

I cut mine off where it cracked and drilled a couple of holes in the existing plastic and remounted it. But the hinge sounds like a better fix even though I haven't had any problems with my fix for two years now.

Forgot to mention, I used 4 1/2" hinges. When the plastic first broke the RV service department refastened it like PapaBeav did. But they started to crack again, so I hinged it hoping this would last longer. So far, so good.
