Thetford Leak Question Again

Okay, have not replaced thetford toilet and now leaking the second time. But installed a cutoff and leak detectors and have stopped the leak for now. Question is can you still use the toilet as long as you add water to bowl. Assume the bowl is not leaking out as there is still water in it. Will replace thetford but need to know if can still use as long as water supply to the toilet is shut off and pour water into the bowl and flush???? Now in CG and need to replace but can you still use the bowl?? Thanks,

We've done that very thing when we stayed overnight at a Walmart and our pump crapped out.
