You should know the bed quality...

When you can fold the king mattress in half, carry it with one arm, and store it in the basement.

Storing there till we get it out of storage. Installing new bed. One season on the original mattress was enough.

Yeah, they are not great. But a 2" memory foam topper plus a good mattress pad made ours quite comfortable.

We also were disappointed in the mattress with our 2015. 3 Inch serta memory foam topper solved our issues as well. Had to do a little trimming on the topper, but no big deal.. Does make it a bit heavier, when you open the bed to get into the underbed storage.

When we traded our TT we kept our old mattress (originally from our guest room) and told them they could keep the one came in the Monty. When we sold the stick house and went full time we took the new mattress from the guest room and put it in the Monty. Now it's about time for a new pillow top.

If you have never tried natural latex foam you owe it to yourself to try it. It's a natural product very heavy, so it supports you very well. It's very soft so it's very comfortable. A queen mattress will weigh about 200 pounds but you don't need a mattress all you need is a 4 inch topper.
A friend owns a furniture store and sells mattress. He cuts mattress open to see what's in them. You would not believe the cheap materials in even expensive mattresses. Most if not all I've seen you can buy the foam at Walmart.

We added a 2 or 3 inch topper but that felt like we were sleeping in a marshmallow. Comical trying to get out of bed.

I make mattresses and I can tell you there is nothing they can put in those mattresses selling for 2-3-4- thousand dollars that would make the mattress worth that much. If I put the best materials I can buy and my labour in a queen size mattress the cost barely makes 500 bucks for a spring filled and 800 for pure foam, not bad profit on those 2 grand mattresses eh?

Ragtacker exactly. You should see what is in these mattresses. If you paid $2000 for a mattress seeing what is in it will make you feel cheated. Selling mattresses is more profitable than selling jewelry.

Nice thing about the Montana mattresses is that they are not RV size. We just went to the mattress store, picked out one we liked and had it delivered to the site in the campground. They even hauled away the poor excuse for a mattress that came with the rig.

They are not RV size?? can't say that about mine I had to use a electric carving knife to cut about 4 inches off my memory foam off the side and also round the corners as the Standard 76inch wide King would not fit

Sad to hear so many poor matress stories. We're on our third season on the original and still sleep just fine. I sleep better in the RV than on the $600.00 pillowtop at home. Maybe because I feel more relaxed in the RV. No calls from people wanting my handyman services.Visiting new places, learning history, meeting new friends-------- Isn't RVing great?

Yes I sell to the public but I live on Vancouver Island in Canada so that makes it a bit of a problem. If any of you are coming this way on holidays and need something or just want a cup of coffee pm me. Oh and keep in mind with the dollar you are getting 40% off the Canadian price guess thats why i am so busy with yachts and cruise ships from south of the border eh?
