I agree, Ken and Pat did a fantastic job! Good times, with new and old friends, are the best feature of MOC rallies.

We also want to thank Ken and Pat and all the others that helped make this a great event. We were very happy that we were able to make it to the event.

Does anyone know who, from the group, had a blowout on the I-5 Wednesday morning going south? We would have stopped, but there was already another rig stopped to assist. Couldn't tell if there was any other damage beyond the tire, but there was tire debris scattered for at least a 1/4 mile before we got to where they were stopped.

If it was south of Yreka and before Weed the odds are pretty good it was Bill & Mary (crossthread) Nappier. One of his Bridgestone tires let go. Interestingly enough his TPMS showed the tire still had 60 PSI after letting go of the tread. The only damage was some black marks on the fender skirt.

He bought another tire in Redding and will be replacing all of them when he gets home (today I believe).

Yes, It was me. I was in the left lane and saw a puff of blue smoke and rubber flying . I got over asap. I bought a tire in MT Shasta and will decide what to do. It will be transfered to the spare.
I don't fault the tire, Bridgestone Duravas hd,r 500. I had some uneven wear on it due to a previous alignment problem and let it go too far.
Rich Beavers stopped and helped me replace it.
Next week, I will contact the tire monitor and see if I can return them to be checked. Bill

Does anyone have Chase Booth's contact info? If so, can you PM it to me? I'm sure he doesn't need it on the open forum.

Thanks,

Russ
