Bed Saver

HI All Just got some time today and decided to install my new Bedsaver, from blueox. Took out all the parts and made sure everything was there. I lined up the plates to the Hitch and they didn't line up. I measured and the holes were 4 1/8 on center and the bolts on my hitch are only 2 1/2 on center. I called the number on the destructions, and talked to Linda she got out a blue print and we made sure I had the right part. For the 16K Husky the measurements were what she had on her sheet. The holes on my Hitch were still closer together than on their plates. She got Bob on the line he is reshearch and developement. We when all through it again. Finally I said I would just sent it back, Linda asked if I could take picture of the bolt pattern and asked Bob if he could help me, with the new plates if he had pictures. He said if I would hold the measureing tape up to it and take pictures he could try and make up new plates and they would ship to me free. I bought it from carparts.com the invoice said JC Whitney but they will work with me and stand behind the product, I told them it might be good for them to see this one in case their are others out there like mine. They agreed. Thats it I just wanted to relay the story about the bedsaver.

Sounds like they are doing everything they can to help you out. It sounds like your hitch company made some changes that Blue Ox wasn't aware of.

Tom That is what I told Bob, it looks like a its done professionally, holes are clean and only four on each side. I don't think I'm the only one with one like it. So as I said above Blue Ox should want to see this hitch in case they have others that come up in the future. I will post what happenings. Thanks
