How did the potty training for the cats go? Was it successful?

I have only one cat. Haven't had time to do the training, as it should be.. Hopefully while on vacation next month, will have more time to get him completely trained.
They suggest to put the litter box in the bathroom first and get the cat accustomed to this, (I'm doing this) then put litter box same height as the stool, then after kitty has adjusted to this, start the training kit. Getting rid of the litter box and limiting cats access to all the house. Take all the rugs out of the bathroom too until he is trained completely. It is working with Nino but have not got rid of the litter box yet. Can hardly wait for that!
