Dimplex Fireplace

Owners manual not very informative. Anyone know what the center red blinking light means. Will not go off. Turned on FP last night and top light came on plus center one stated the blinking thing.

Does your fireplace have a remote. Did an internet search,(blinking red light on dimplex fireplace) this is what came up. Could not get the pictures to copy in.

In order to initialize your one piece remote with your electric fireplace, you need to check to see what type of controls you have. Majority of the fireplaces will have this type of control.

When initializing the remote for your fireplace when having this style of buttons, you need to hold down the bottom of the button (right side of picture where the blue arrow is) Hold the button down once the middle light starts to blink (where the red arrow is) When you see the red light blinking, press the ON button on the remote and the fireplace should turn on (if not then press the on button again on the remote) If it doesn’t work then unplug the fireplace for 5 seconds and restart this process.

If you have a fireplace that has this type of button then all you have to do is unplug the unit for five seconds, plug it back in and make sure this button is pushed down to the bottom (push the “l l” in towards the fireplace) Press the ON button on the remote and your fireplace should turn on.

I have a fireplace in my 2011 Big Sky 3580RL but no remote. Switches are on the bottom behind a panel, on-off switch, flame control and light control on the left side and temp control on the right side.
