Two montana's 06 3400 and 13 3402 over 130K total road miles on both of them.We experienced just about all of the mentioned problems over the years of ownership. The first thing we did with both Montana's was to replace the OEM suspension with the Mor Ryde IS.Things still break or fall apart.

Interesting (and kinda funny...almost) that just a couple days after reading this post, we head out today toward Oregon and Washington up Interstate 5 through California.
Hit some nasty bumps of course, and we got a "nice" surprise upon reaching our destination...the large center trim piece over the main slide out had come crashing down to the floor. Pretty heavy piece to be held up with a bunch of little staples!!
Amazing it held this long...

You are right KD, it is pretty funny. So,
we are getting ready to go to Bennet Springs in Missouri.
Checking lug nuts, in the process I’m putting down pressure
on one of the nuts. The torque wrench slips and hits a tire pressure
monitor. The metal stem breaks, 20 seconds later I have a flat tire.
Call AAA, puts spare on. Take original tire to get new valve stem.
No problem. On the way home coming down the street I live on
hit a low hanging limb and removed the tv antenna from the top
of the roof. NOW THAT’S FUNNY. As they say “you can’t make this stuff up”
Laughed all the way to Cooper Creek Campground in Brunson, Mo.

I use a strip of silicone when putting the trim back on inside, when the unit gets hot inside the glue loosens up and the silly little nails they use won't hold the trim on when unit is vibrating and bouncing down the road. The silicone is flexible and not affected by heat and thus holds great and when necessary you can take the trim off without too much effort unlike when glue hardens..

I would like to make something clear. No matter what happens to our
503Rl we are enjoying owning our 5er. We knew going into our purchase
what to expect. We knew about the construction process, but yet, we still chose to purchase. We bought our unit from RV Station in Donna, Texas and they have
done everything possible to help us out. When we went through the PDI everything worked just like it should. RV Station took care of everything they could before we left Texas for the winter and headed back to Missouri.

We have met so many really sincere and nice people from all over the country and everyone of them have stories about their units. Some stories you hear you say omg, others you have to have help getting up from the ground after laughing your buns off.

Like I’ve said in a previous post my motto is, out of every adversity comes the seed of equal or greater benefit. The benefit to owning an RV.....I’m learning to build RV’s.
