2011 Chevy LTZ Dually & Hitch Clearance

Looking at maybe getting a Chevy LTZ 3500 dually 4X4 and just curious about the clearance above the bed rails since they seem taller than my 04 2500 4X2. I've got a 16K Husky EZ Roller slider hitch that I would be transferring over to the dually should I get it. With my present TV I have about 7-8 inches of clearance above the rails. Thanks ahead of time for your input. Tim

Tim, you will lose some, but my Monty rides level with about 6 inches clearance. Upgraded from an 05 3500 Dually and had 7 to 8 inches like you. The bed height remained the same, just the side rails are an inch or so taller.
If you get the truck you will love the power and other nice features.

Good luck

I went from an '06 CC dually, to an '11 1 ton SRW, reason being Terry hated driving the dually (dumb me told her if GM came out with a SRW that could legally tow Monty in BC, I'd trade, I never thought it would happen)

Like Michelle and Ann said, you will lose 1-2" clearance and to add to their comments, the built in brake controller and exhaust brake are awesome.

Hi Tim. How are things? Anyway, I went from an '03 2500 to sig vehicle. Like the others, I lost and inch at most. This truck sits higher, but it does not squat hardly at all when I drop 2600 lbs of Monty hitch onto it. Enjoy - it is an awesome towing machine!
