5th Airborne Hitch

I'm thinking of buying a 5th Airborne Hitch for my Monty and wondered if anyone has installed this hitch themselves? My son will help me with the heavy work. I have a Lippert 1116 hitch now.

I have not installed one myself but it sure does not look difficult. Camping World only wants $70.00 for installation so you know it won't take them long to do it. I would think that torquing the bolts will be the most important thing to do.

We had CW install ours and they did have trouble. The install process is straight forward, however the fifth airborne hitch has to slide up into the brackets on the Monty a little further than the Lippert pinbox. They had extreme difficulty getting the fifth airborne to slide up past the factory welds on the hitch brackets. The tolerance is zero, and neither piece was willing to flex. It took some brute force and a sledge hammer to get the bolt holes lined up.

Worth $70 for me to watch.
