Another Quest Stereo Gone
Well, after suffering through two Quest stereo systems, I finally broke down and replaced it. I went a little different route than most. I bought a Yamaha surround sound receiver and a Sony DVD player. Now, I just need to get two rear speakers - one of the speakers was bad, also. But, now the whole system rocks for about $250. You get sound out of all five speakers whether its Dolby, DTS or none of the above. Next weekend I will get a chance to give it a good trial. I believe it has something like 29 different sound fields.

Having mine replaced on the 27th of this month. The coach is coming out of storage on the 22nd, only 19 more days =) If the replacement does not work then I will be putting in a new dvd/cd player and looking into the bose speaker system.

Parrothead -
My three speakers over the TV are fine. I am replacing the back two. I found the Yamaha Surround Receiver for $169 on sale at Best Buy and the Sony DVD player was $89. I replaced the two rear speakers with a pair of Cambridge speakers from Fry's electronics. The Yamaha is probably better than the Sony I have at home with my Bose speakers. But now, with the 5.1 Dolby from DireTV, my Yamaha receiver delivers great sound. And, I can customize the sound to the room. Now, I am going to work through my dealer to get Keystone to pick up part of the cost. Did find one bad rear speaker.
