Furrion Oven

I am interested in others results and opinion with the new Furrion oven.

Pros: the electronic ignition and no pilot light is a great addition.

Cons: the lack of a broiler and poorer temperature control are detractors. When you set a temp via the knob and let the oven warm, the digital temp display rarely matches what was set. You can then change the knob to get the display of the temp to match what you want but we don't have real confidence it is actually displaying the actual oven temp. Our results actually baking things are mixed.

We don't like the oven. Temp control is a joke, noisily fan that runs the whole time the oven is on

We actually much prefer the Furrion as compared to .....that we have had.
Glass oven door, bigger capacity, electronic ignition and overall good looks.
The temp control certainly could be better but all one needs to go is add a store bought oven thermometer to compare how far out the actual temp display is and you are away.

You're right is is a good looking oven and easy to lite. But, why does the noisy fan have to run the whole time the oven is on!!!!

Compared to the older ovens, this one is great. The temp control on the old ones were questionable too. Not having to get on my knees to light the pilot is worth any issues with the temp control.

Never used the one in the old rig. Use this one frequently and like it.

we love ours, can actually cook a decent frozen pizza and I don't have to stand on my head with the lighter while the wife holds the "pilot" knob down, as far as the fan, you need to run a vent fan anyway when the oven is lit

And all of you are happy with the noisy fan in the oven that runs the whole time the oven is on. I'm not talking about the exhaust fan

Yes, while it is on the noisy side we find there are more positive improvements that outweigh a little fan noise. Heck our roof vent fan almost makes as much noise.
But that is just us.

Maybe after you use it more you will become familiar with it...we did. Doesn't bother us at all now and we don't find it excessively loud. As others have said the pros outweigh the cons of the new oven.

Oven

We have a hard time keeping the pilot light lit. We push the knob in and turn it to pilot, where we hear the clicking and hold it there for 20 - 50 seconds, and when we let go, so we can turn the temp. higher, the pilot light goes out. I might do this 3-6 times before the pilot light stays lite. Then when I move it to the temperature we need like 400 degrees, after less than one minute the flames go out. We do this 3-5 times before it lights and stays lit. Then once it is lit, it takes along time to get to 400 on the oven digital temp and the temp fluctuates. The new oven temp gauge that we purchased and put in the oven says it is only at 350.

If you open the door to put the item in the oven the temperature drops a lot and then takes a long time to get it back to 400 degrees. For example, the oven said it was 415 degree and the temperature I put in was just a little over 350. It dropped from 400 when I put the tray in the over. I have attached the picture below.

I did get a pizza stone which has helped to even out the cooking so the bottom of the meat was not burnt this time....

It is quite an ordeal to cook anything in the even, so I am very disappointed in the oven.

I love to bake a lot when we are in our 5th wheel, so would love some suggestions.

Thank you.

Oven

Ours came with the Atwood Wedgewood Vision. It works just fine - no problems.

They are a little finicky, once the pilot is lit turn the knob for the flame control and then let go of the pilot button. We actually put the pan directly on top of the pizza stone when cooking and get great results. We also put what we are cooking in the oven as soon as we lite it so as to not loose so much heat when opening the door.

We are having the same problem with keeping the oven lit. Have you had any luck figuring out what the cause of this is?

Furrion Oven

I have used the oven 2 more times. In lighting it the 2 time it only went out 2 times and then stayed lit. I have gotten the suggested pizza stone.. found a rectangular one on Amazon and this distributes the heat more evenly.

Let me know if you keep trying to use the oven over and over, does it get easier to light over time. '

Has anyone talked to Furrion on this issue?

The fan is a cooling fan according to Furrion. I take it as an RV life safety issue.

We have found a solution for our Furrion Oven burner that did not stay on. The bottom mostly solid shelf (not the baking rack) needs to be on the most lower position. Our RV came with it in the position 1 slot up and we had the same problem. Once we moved it to the lower most position we no longer had any problem with the burner staying on.
