THE tool for DYI greasing hubs!

I was forced to buy one new tire on our last big trip (second puncture), so after getting home I decided to replace the other three with the same kind. The old ones were 4 1/2 years old anyway, so it was just about time. Figured I'd grease the hubs & shackles since I was jacking & etc. After doing one hub and getting the required 'paper cut' on my finger scooping out the old grease, I had an epiphany this morning and decided to try making a super scooper. Pic is of what is close to the shape that's needed out of wood. (Couldn't get very good focus, but that's it.) It's 5" long and 1 1/2 wide for now. I've still two more wheels to go and may refine it a bit. My plan is to make a new one out of either metal or plastic once I've got the profile final. NO MORE CUT FINGERS!!!!!!!!

Good idea. I do end up with a few cuts when I do them.

Or just use disposable gloves ... keeps your finger nails looking nice too.

I tried talking the wife into doing it, but she wouldn't bite on the task.

The really good grease does soften the skin, so I can't figure why the women wouldn't want to help
