I will be moving my daughter into college at the end of the summer (yippee!) and would like to make a camping trip out of it. I've looked on-line in the local area (Syracuse), but don't see anything that looks all that good. I prefer private campgrounds, but, any port in a storm. Anybody have one they'd like to recommend?

There's a small County Park on the North side of Syracuse that will fit a Montana, nothing fancy, but my have plenty of Fishermen depending on what's in season. There's several South of the City around Cortland. If you're into Gambling Turning Stone Casino East of Syracuse has a campground. We'll be there this weekend for a GS Chapter Campout.

I know many do like the KOA Campgrounds but last year we spent time at the KOA'S Asociation Island at the eastern edge of Lake Ontario, Henderson New York. The views of the sunsets are awesome.
