HOW DO YOU KNOW EZ-LUBE NEV-R-LUBE

I need the help of you experts.
How do I know if I have EZ-Lube or NEV-R-Lube bearings.
Also, how often do I grease them, what type grease & what type grease gun.
Also, how often do I need to pack the bearings. Is this something I can do myself.
I'm trainable even at my age of 73.
Thanks.

Unless you ordered specifically, you probably have EZ lube spindles. Never lube have a solid metal dust cap and are what they say they are ... never lube. Replacement bearings are somewhat difficult to find, pricey, and require a press to change them out. They also seem to be targeted for the lighter RV's although some on the MOC have them. EZ lube will have a dust cap with a rubber plug in the center that covers a grease jerk. There are volumes of posts on the MOC about the EZ lube and it's pluses and minuses. For peace of mind and nothing more give em a couple of squirts once or twice a year. That's about all you'll accomplish ... peace of mind. Most of us that travel a lot repack yearly ... others like me that travel not so much go every other year. Here's Dexter's grease recommendations.

Larry, if you are able to repack the wheel bearings, or have it done, every couple of years, then you may not even need to use the grease zerks at all. After all the problems some folks had I just quit using them and let our dealer repack the bearings every other year. As fulltimers, no rv park will allow us to do that work ourselves.
