Workcamping-near Williamsburg, VA

I've just completed my first week of workamping for the very first time! We are at the Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in Toano, VA. It's a great place that offers retreat facilities for groups and individuals. They have 21 full hookup sites and a primitive camping area for tenting as well as 3 lodges of various sizes. I'll be doing a variety of jobs from receptionist to maintainence from now through September when Bob retires. It's been lots of fun and all of the folks there are so nice! I'll work approx. 20 hours every week in exchange for our site. I'll also get a free meal whenever I work. Williamsburg is less that 1 hour from our stick home in Richmond so we will go back and forth as we please and leave the Montana there!

Sheri, glad you like your new job! Willaimsburg is one of our favorite places to park our monty. We usually stay at the Jamestown campground , as we go across on the ferry with our rig. Lots of fun things and places to see in Virginia.
