On a 2007 3400 model what tank does the washing machine waste water go to. Is it the black, grey or galley?

Neither, it goes directly into the sewer discharge, at least ours does. Look under the rig and you can see the drain entering the sewer. Deja Vu!! I thought we had this topic last week??

You are right Bingo, we hashed this out last week and mine still drains direct to the main drain pipe. That would fill any tank pretty quick.

And DON'T FORGET to connect the slinky and connect it to the sewer drain.

On our 08 3500, it drains into our gray tank with the shower.

Sorry guys, I posted this last week and did not see the post. So what you are saying is if I want to do laundry I have to be hooked up to the sewer, that just does not make any good sense. I will forget buying a machine then. Seems it should drain into a tank.

Ljensen,
Where it drains may depend on who installed it! I think the only tanks I have not heard of it draining into are the water tank and the galley. But who knows. I think the only way for you to know for certain is to eyeball it.
Good luck.

If you want to use your gray tank to hold your washer water then install a gate valve on the end of your sewer output, close it and open the gate valve for the gray tank. That should put the washer water into the gray tank. Be careful though cause once the gray tank is full it will overflow up the washer standpipe and onto your floor.

If you buy a W/D as an add on, you can have them put the drain where ever you want it.
To each there own, but mine drains directly into the sewer, I don't want it going into a gray tank.

Yes, what NascarRon said except before it backs up the washer drain pipe it probably will back up and overflow the shower since it's lower than that drain pipe. Our 2003 3295RK drained into the shower tank and we overflowed it twice. That also ends up saturating the basement storage area. It's not fun drying everything out.
Look under the rig. You may see the drain pipe from the w/d area come out and connect into the main dump pipe. If so, then it doesn't go into a tank. I have the gate valve he mentioned and that would work. But do be careful.

Actually what happens if it drains into the gray and you forget to open the valve, the water comes back into the washer and the washer goes besirk, twirling the dial around and around. Of course I know this because................ Once you open the valve, everything returns to normal. There is some back up into the shower, but not where it overflows. We've only done this twice (once was enough) and we did not have any water on the floor anywhere.
Happy trails......................

Some of you people are very fortunate. I have a 2005 Montana, Model #3295RK and the drain line from the washer/dryer drains directly into the black tank. This is the way the plumbing drain came from the factory. It sure doesn't make any sense as the black tank can fill up quite rapidly. When the w/d drains into the grey water tank it is so much easier as all you have to do is leave the gray water tank valve open so it can drain into the sewer. I've had several 5th wheels (other brands) and they both drained into the gray tank. I tried having my dealer re-route the w/d drain line to the gray tank but he said it was almost impossible to do this as the water would have to run uphill on part of the drain line.

When we had our 2005 Montana it also drained into the black tank. I kinda liked that. I felt that it kept the black tank quite clean. I just kept a sticker on the washer dial to remind me to open the black tank before use.

Ours will back up into the shower. I bought a cheap alarm ($12.00)at home depot and now it goes off if we forget and there's water backing up in the shower.

Now **that** is a great idea, John and Dale! I sure wish I'd thought of that when we still had the prior Montana. Maybe we wouldn't have overflowed the shower. Twice! I didn't even realize such an alarm exists until reading your post. Thanks.
