Price Pfister faucet finally pressure!

A few months ago, I changed our whole house filter, and noticed a sudden loss of pressure at the kitchen faucet. I had replaced the cheepo OEM with a nice Price Pfister I caught on clearance at Lowe's. I had gone into the faucet a couple times, as I suspected trash had somehow obstructed the flow through the ceramic disc in the faucet. No luck, so we have lived with the low pressure. DW said last evening she was gonna do something about the low pressure, and I could see my fishing funds disappearing for a new faucet. So, I decided to check under the fixture where the flex line (pull out spout) connects to the faucet. Bingo! I found what looks to be a small check valve in the end of the flex line. Pulled it out, and it has an internal oring that is out of place. Assembled without the check valve, and dang, water pressure galore. Now for the celebration....maybe a new fishing reel and a couple adult beverages.

I'd go with the adult beverages first and then see how much you have left for fishing gear.

Or just stick it in that secret compartment in the wallet for a rainy day.

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
A repair like that deserves both adult beverages and fishing gear!!!

Or, you could do nothing and have her owe you one. Never know when it could come in handy.
