Tool box mounted

Its a small thing but I mounted a tool box in the side storage bay today. Got tired of having to haul out and rummage thru the last one....

Being a fulltimer, mine has to reside in a box in the pickup bed as there is no room in my passthru.

Nice setup, but it wouldn't work for me. Being a little obsessed, I have four stackable Dewalt toolboxes full of tools and parts in my basement, and yes we're on our 8th year of full timing.

DQ, That's just hand tools in there. You can't see the parts boxes or the cordless tools in other bins......but then we aren't ready to full time yet either....

Turned my tool box sideways.Bought 400 lb 36” full extension slides less than $40 set. Since I had to space it out from front basement wall behind the box is an excellent place for my folding table to ride. Drilled a hole through the slide and put a small bolt in to insure box will not slide and hit basement door. Have to pull box out to access table but no problem

I installed one where my steps were before I replaced them with the Moryde steps. Works great.

That's pretty slick way to do it. I like the slide out idea. I have to bend over and search for my tools ;=] I laid a good grade of indoor/outdoor carpet in the basement. Set the 2 drawer against the back wall under the vacuum. Toolbag of common tools in front. Heavier gear in 2 drawers Have another bag for some "stuff" (bolts, nuts, wire connectors, tape, junk. So far, so good but being able to slide out would be a huge plus. I might steal your idea after I get yearly maintenance finished.
