Power shutdown when putting out slides
This one is new...when I'm putting out the slides the power shuts down, lights & everything. Wait a few seconds & they go again. This occures two or three times when putting out four slides. No blown fuses. Any ideas?

Mine also has started doing the same thing and the level up also does it. The power only shuts down when being run by the batteries but both work good when plugged into shore power.

Look for one or two breakers mounted on the wall near the battery area. You may have one or both weak, and you also may not have enough batteries to handle the high current load when operating the slides or leveling system. The breakers on newer models were 40 amp rated, and if the wiring is heavy enough, the fix is to replace the breaker to the hydraulic pump with an 80 amp breaker. The photo is of the auto reset breakers.

This has been a problem for years and not just on Montana. Had the same issue on our last unit.

Had the same issue. 50 amp auto reset circuit breaker was failing at 32 amps. Each time it resets it will get weaker. Replaced and works great.

First make sure your battery is good, then replace the breaker. It's getting cold and takes more juice to move the fluid and the breaker kicks out. Keystone replaced mine with and 80amp under warranty.

Mine is doing the same thing with the slides and periodically, the jacks. The problem may be two fold. One, make sure your battery(ies) is charged. Low voltage will cause this too. Then it's on to the resttable breaker as described. According to my two dealers, the hydraulic pump draws 60A when activated. Thus tripping the breaker. Also, several have reported that they've installed a different kind of 60A resettable to keep this from happening. Also, when those don't work, Lippert has authorized a few dealers to replace them with an 80A resetting breaker. My firend just got his KZ back with one on it.

I would suggest having your battery load tested most Auto Parts will do that for free.
If the battery needs replaced I would suggest replacing it with a quality RV Marine deep cycle Grp 27 and if it will fit in your battery box a Grp 31
I am assuming you have the smaller Grp 24.If your battery checks out good I would go with the breaker replacment as others have suggested

Ours does this on battery only. With shore power or generator running it's not an issue. 2013 3402RL

Montana had upgraded to 80 amp a number of years ago. However, they went back to the 40 amp on our 2015. It will really show up as it gets colder. Replaced ours last year with the 80 amp.

Make sure your battery connections are tight and free of corrosion.

Thanks for the help. It finally pooped out. There were two auto reset circuit breakers. One was a 50 amp the other a 30amp. Replaced both with 50 amp all good. Thanks again

I had the same issue on my previous unit, a Challenger. Replaced the thirty amp self resetting breaker with a new 30 amp one and all was fine.
