Apollo Convection problem

My Apr 2004 date of Manufacture Apollo half time oven has served us well, but recently, it started making grinding noises and only one half of the Convection burner coil would glow (but still cooked fine). But most recently, after some further journeys, slideout cycles, etc, the grinding noise is gone and both/all of the convection burner coils glow now!
However, the Convection Oven won't get hotter than about 250 degrees so it won't cook, even though all the coils burn brightly.
Anyone else encounter these symptoms or have advice?

Thanks!

I think you have got lucky if you got 6 years out of your original Apollo. I would suggest calling Midwest Sales (number on master number sheet on this forum) and either order a new one or a refab one. We are on our second with the first being repaired once before I overloaded the CG CB and blew it. We are fulltimers and use ours extensively. DW really likes the 1/2 time function and has learned to use it really well. We will continue to purchase one unless they make an exact replacement (size wise), in another brand. A refab can be had for about $150 and a new for around $300.

As it is, it is not working properly and could cause bigger problem. I would not trust it anymore.....

UPDATE
Tami at Midwest Sales suggested Appliance Repair Shop or a new unit for $295 plus S&H from them or contact "Bob" their Repair Tech regarding possible self repair...
