Where does the washing machine drain?

2012 Montana 3400. Can you tell me to which tank the washing machine drains? Did a load of laundry the other night and had both gray tanks closed. Water filled the sewer hose so thought one of the valves wasn't closing properly. But today both tanks drained normally with no leak of gray water from previous day of no sewer hookup. I'm wondering if there is a direct line to sewer output from the washer drain?

On our 2007 3400, the washer drained directly to the sewer outlet, never hit a pipe. It was visible in the basement.

Ours drains direct out, found out the hard way. Had a valve on outlet, near drain hose. Stopped for the night one time, wife did wash, water came out washer drain inlet.

Sounds like yours is piped direct to the outlet. Mine is piped to the grey tank. Have to be mindful of tank level or I can find myself standing in a couple inches of water in the pan when showering. Normally leave grey tank valve open for that reason until I am getting near ready to drain the black tank. Then close it to let a little level build up first.

Like others, our is directly into the main line...doesn't go in a tank. As long as you are hooked to a sewer line, that's great.

Our 2008 3400RL went directly to the discharge line.

Thanks for all the replies. I had the sewer hose hooked up but drains closed as I was trying to build up volume for blank tank flush. Had a bit of an uphill run thus discovered all the water in the hose. Learned something new!!
