Not sure what you read that it does, but it certainly receives any available tv signals either analog or digital. It also is hooked up to my entertainment center and significantly increases the quantity and quality of FM radio stations.

I talked to Winguard a while back and they told me the Sensar IV is the same as III They just added the wingman to it.. I have a III and put a wingman on it.. I have no problems picking up signals as long as the wingman is pointed toward the signal from the tower...

From the pictures it looks the same.
I also added the wingman to mine. But had to remove it when I added a second AC because of interference.
The service tech said he could remove the whole antenna, rotate it, and put it back down so it would clear, but I did not want to take a chance of him causing a leak in the roof.

We have the second air and we just cut about 2 inches off, it still works great.

you may wish to consider the "Jack" antena, it will last longer and just as good, fully compatible...
good luck...!!!

We tried both antennaes and found them to be more directional than the original- Both antennaes received fringe stations when properly aimed but were more difficult to operate- We removed both and are satisfied with the reception we receive- JMHO- Don

We also added the Wingman, which did help in picking up additional stations.
