Any pictures of that fix wiith the ring clamp. I'd like to try that besides locking the tailgate! The lock can always be popped if they really want it!

I placed a ring clamp around the side that slips out and positioned the screw part so it was difficult to loosen up. Just an extra measure.

I assume you are talking about clamps something like these. And that you have to completely open the clamp, feed the ring around where the gate fits in the holder, then close the clamp and tighten it?

I use a hose clamp but might put a ring clamp on also. Might take them long enough working on getting it off that I can snag them and see how long they can breath diesel exhaust.

I just smile when I read this. My car and truck are never locked the keys are always in them. My camper, house and shop are never locked.
Most people here still don't lock their cars when they go to Walmart.
I'm so lucky to live in such a nice place.

Thanks Charlie, We live just west of the little city of Salem Va about 25000 people. A couple years ago Salem had it's first homicide in 10 years. Even then it wasn't 2 Salem residents involved. I think there has been a few since then. All in all a pretty laid back place.
