Counter Tops
The biggest fault I have found to date in my 2012 3700 Big Sky is the counter top material (not Corian). The counter tops scratch with the slightest contact with any abrasive item. Any thoughts on how I remove these slight scratches. Tried a carnauba wax which only magnified the scratches.

The Corian countertops scratch just as easily as your new counters apparently do and there doesn't seem to be an acceptable or long term solution to the problem. I don't know what yours would be if not Corian but I certainly hope you find a fix to the scratch issue as it sure isn't pretty.

Our Montana came with Corian countertops. Corian sells a "kit" with the required "things" you can use to address some scratches. You might try home depot for the "kit."

This rule works for all types of solid serfaces, they are all made the same way with Resins.
3-M pads work good extra fine and take your time.

Been there done that. The "resurfacing" lasts until the next pot or bottle meets the counter surface.

Thanks Don! Even if it doesn't last it's still better than looking at an increasing number of scratches.

Try "Hope's Perfect Countertop". It was recommended at the Fall Rally. You can get it at Lowe's Hardware and it comes in a purple spray bottle. It works pretty good.

We have the Corian brand and have experienced the same issue. We use Weiman granite cleaner and polish (available from Walmart, home depot, etc), and while it does not remove the scratches, it does a great job of hiding them. Comes in a spray bottle and after using, you have to look hard to see any minor scratches.

We have the same countertop you have. Although it doesn't seem possible, the material is fiberglass. We are very careful in maintaining itas it's pretty sensitive. We use pads under any hot dish and we never pour really hot water down the kitchen drain without first partially filling the sink with cold water. We use the "Scotch-brite" side of the sponge to quickly wipe out stains. We're currently using a product called Gel-Gloss to maintain the countertops, although the product is neither gel nor glossy, and it seems to prevent scratches to some degree and give the countertop an overall smooth, maintained look. It can be purchased at hardware stores in pint sized cans. Although you probably do not cut food on this surface anyways, we surely would not allow food to come into contact with Gel-Gloss.
We would not purchase this sort of countertop again as it's just too sensitive to things that everyone works with in a kitchen. It takes extra thinking, for cryin' out loud! The counter is good-looking but we did not realize that fiberglass would be an option in a working kitchen and we would not have chosen it. (Feel underneath the chamfored edge on your countertop and you'll see that it is not in fact a big solid hunk, but rather hollowed out.)

According to Montana the counter tops are indeed Corian. We have it in our home. While it very easy to maintain it does need some special care. Dumping hot water on wont hurt it, you cant get water hot enough. DO NOT place a hot skillet on. That could burn it and you cant get a burn out. Don't put any thing abrasive on it, it is a relatively soft plastic. If you must place put something on that will scratch, put a towel under it. If it gets scratched, sand it out then use fine sand paper then buff it. The color goes all the way through, sand to your hearts content.
We have had it for at least 15 years and my wife loves it. Ours still looks like new. It is so easy to care for. There are no seams to catch dirt. And the thing is there are no pores to hold bacteria.

As mlh wrote, Montana uses Corian counters in the 2012 models including the 3700. If you look just to the left of the faucet you should find the "Corian by DuPont" medallion embedded in the counter top. I can't remember when they started using Corian but I am guessing it was with the advent of the Hickory Edition models. Earlier Montanas, like thekenny's 2007, had a fiberglass-like counter top.
We have Corina in the house too and love it. Don't cut or place hot pans on it and you will be fine. Seahunter's link is terrific information if you should scratch the surface.

Thanks for all the good info. As for it being Corian, I am not sure, as I do not see the embedded bug.

We have a 2010 Fuzion with the touring editin 11 package by Keystone. Our counter tops do not have the Corian marker on them. We contacted Keystone to find out what our counters were made of so we could remove the scratches. We were told ours were indeed Corian even if they didn't have the label on them. George

I said you could sand to your hearts content. Let me clarify. This counter top is bought in 30 inch by 10 foot sheets. That will make a counter top 25 inches with a 4 inch splash guard with a 1 inch overhang. The over hang is put on rough then the edge is sanded smooth and if the counter is over 10 feet long the 2 parts are joined with glue then sanded to match. The installer might haft to sand a thirty second or more off to get them to match up. So you can sand to your hearts content but you haft to be careful to maintain the flat appearance just like you would sand bondo on a car to fix a dent.
I said recently these campers are built as cheap as they can be made to look nice . This is one place that is not true. This stuff cost from $200 to $900 per sheet. The price depends on the size of the lets say pieces of grout it takes to make it. Go in almost any fast food restaurant McDonald's Hardies etc and see how much of it you can find. They are full of it. They use the less expansive stuff. Our campers use a more expensive grade but not nearly the most expensive.

The one piece fiberglass counter tops are still in the 2011 models Mountaineers. And it looks like they are also in the 2012 models. I wouldn't have noticed from the top, but it is quite obvious from the underside.

I bought 3 large glass cutting boards one to go on my stove top and the other two to go on the counter top. This has saved me a lot of grief and although I have a few tiny scratches, after 1 1/2 my counter looks new and we live in it full time.
