2011 Dodge 3500 Tire Problems???

Ok, was walking by my truck yesterday and noticed some white threads on the sidewall of the passenger front tire. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the rubber was pealing off of the tire! Well, I took it into the "tire place" today and they inspected it. Well, they also inspected the other tires and noticed the sidewall on two other tires was cracking and pealing. My truck only has 5000 miles on it! The tires are BFG Rugged Trail T/A's. Which were stock on the truck. Has anyone else had this happen to them? The tire place is going to call Micheline (they own BFG now) on Monday and see if there is anything they can do.

The date code is 0311. So they are basically as old as the truck.

I've got 51,800 miles on my '11 Ram with the same tires and I've had no issue. In fact, I just had them rotated and the shop said I should see another 35/40k out of these tires as they are wearing well. Hope the tire shop is successful in securing replacements at no cost to you.

Well for what is is worth, my previous vehicle 05 ram had Michelin tires (purchased from Discount Tire) that after one year and about 5000 miles had cracks around all 4 beads. Michelin gave me an 80% credit to replace them. 1000 miles later I traded the truck. ...I always seem to trade a vehicle off after buying new tires!!!

I am in the process of going through a BFG Dealer now. Went to the Dodge dealership, who told me that I would get quicker service going through the "tire place". I told the manager that I would prefer to put on better tires if BFG will give me some credit. Now just waiting with my fingers crossed! I would jump on the 80% if it's offered!

My BFG rugged trails did that at 52000 mi. Tire dealer got me $75.00 per tire credit from mfg to replace. They were 3 1/2 yrs old then. The replacements have been fine.
