Slide Dragging

As I was preparing to close my slides I noticed the carpet in the bedroom was torn down to the backing where the slide was dragging. This is near the head of the bed on the raised portion next to the closet. It appears that the side has dropped just enough to catch the carpet. Is there an adjustment? It is a 2003 2955 RL.

I have a 2004 3650RL and have adjustment issues on bedroom slides. You have to take the top off the bed. It is several screws. First disconnect the bed storage lid helper cylinders and unscrew the cover. All the adjustments are then exposed. This will take some real thinking on what and how to adjust. I suggest marking the original adjustments before changing anything. Good Luck!

I feel your pain brother. My living room slide has started to kind of tilt when I retract the slide and the little half moon hard wood symbol hits my surround sound speaker when I bring the slide in. I had the slides checked about a month ago and they told me everything was adjusted properly. I think I am going to get asecond opinion from another dealer because the super slide has never tilted before and there is no reason for it to start tilting all of the sudden without something being out of whack.
Good Luck
Phil

Re the bedroom slide. Lift the bed, remove the plywood under the bed to expose the hydraulics. There are wheels on both sides of the bed frame that move along the floor , See if one of them have come off.One of our wheels was never installed at the factory and closet side of the bed was dragging.

We had the same problem with ours. It was the wheels on the slide. They had come off. Fixed them and had no more problems.

Ok, I was under my bed, pulled that base panel and did some snooping to understand how the bedroom slide operates. I did find an issue with a board that secures the rug and allows the slide to drag unobstructed on that ridge that forms the opening...this slide drags along the opening and runs on rollers inboard the coach. You really have to clear out all stuff under the flip up bed and pull the 4 screws on the bottom board, then remove it and check the condiition of things along the slide opening.
