Rainwater leak?

Hello

My wife was removing some paper back books from the Montana when she found 2 or 3 books that were wet. I have looked in the cabinet with a flashlight and cant see any signs of a water leak.

This is the cabinet closest to the back of the trailer in the dinning room slide.

Has any one experienced a leak in this area and if so what was the fix.

Thanks in advance

Phil P

Could it be possible that humidity might be the issue? Inside my cabinets stay cooler and paper will draw moisture.

Wow haven't been on here is a long time. Went into a house after fulltiming for 2 years. Went down to lok at our rig anly to find the graphics have fallen off so thought I would return to see what everyone is doing. Phil we had a problem the 1st month out of the factory wih our 2007, 3400RL, called the factory and then took it into the shop for repair. Seems that the tape on the top of the slide was the problem and shop knew this was a regular problem. I would check out the top of the slide on the outside edge you will see the tape that they use see about replacing that tape with a wider heavier tape caulking the area between the tape and the slidewall. They did this and the prblem was solved for a few years I now check and recaulk the area between the tape and the slide wall every few years. Good luck and hope for dryer days in your future.

Hi

I am about to agree with bw2. We have had some serious rain in the last two days and I haven’t found any evidence of a leak yet.

I will take a look at the area Tom Gina 06 has mentioned.

Thanks for the information.

We had the exact same problem with the exact same year/model Montana. Our leak was over the kitchen table. The rain water would pour in. On ours some tape was not even there.
