Time to think about a new mattress.

We started shopping for a new queen size mattress. All of the ads show a full queen at 80" long and a short queen at 75". The one that we have from the factory is 78". Does Keystone have mattresses built to their own non-standard length? We're afraid that the short queen will result in our feet hanging out, but with the full queen we might not be able to close the slide out fully. Are we missing something here? What do others buy for replacement queens?

We took the almost new full size queen from our guest bedroom when we sold the S&B and have used it ever since. Will be replaced this year and we'll use another full size queen. Our rig came with a king and we cut the plywood down to fit so you probably should measure the plywood if your's came with a queen, but even if it came with a short you could change the plywood to fit.

Our existing plywood is 2" shorter than the 78" mattress that came with the rig. We would prefer the full length queen, but will have to determine whether the new mattress could be squeezed by the closed slide out.

Check out Parklane RV mattresses at: http://www.parklanervmattresses.com/
We replaced our king mattress in the 3725 with one. It is GREAT. They make them for all sizes and shapes. Ours overhangs the plywood a bit, but it doesn't hurt it or make it feel any different. After a few nights on the original piece of junk that came with the unit, we got a new memory foam one and have been sleeping great ever since!

We put a Sleep Number with the curved corners in our 2955. It is now in it's third Fifthwheel, and it easily compresses enough at the foot to allow the slide to close.

Sleep number as well, wife is comfy at 30-35 but I roam at 45-75 depending on what my back is feeling like. Glad we don't have a normal mattress to torture me. What you have for space at the foot of the bed is the only thing that matters for length. Slide should close and deform mattress without causing issues. I'm guessing regular queen should be normal in your rig. John

We have the full size queen Sleep Number in the 3402 and the 3400 as well. Not a problem.

We bought a new queen mattress from mattressinsider.com after several people on this forum recommended their products. They appear to have many different sizes, and one that matched our original of 60x80. Got it at a good price and it showed up within a week. It was well wrapped and expanded as advertised. Great cushioning on one side and a firm side too. We will need to try it out for a while to determine which side best suits us. We got the 8" Luxury Cool-MAX® Gel Foam RV Mattress II and are very happy with it so far. Best luck with your search.

We had a queen size Denver Mattress inner spring and loved it. When we bought the new 3160, DW wanted a king size. So, before we traded, we gave our queen to Terrie's sister and went to buy a new one of the exact same model. Denver Mattress now only sells through Lippert. I did not see the inner spring mattress through Lippert, but you may check. Denver Mattress was able to find one remaining in Casper. We love it.
