Nev-r-Lube bearings and MorRyde I/S

I thought I would pass along our recent experience for the benefit of others with MorRyde I/S and Nev-r-Lube bearings.

About a year ago we had a axle nut fail, which in turn destroyed the bearing on that axle. This year, while having everything checked over we discovered another broken axle nut. Jesse at Kodiak recommended bearing replacement at the same time, noting that these bearings have about a 6 yr life span.
Our I/S and bearing upgrade is over 6 yrs old, so I thought it was worthwhile advice to take.
YMMV - I suggest anyone with this setup and age keep an eye on the axle nuts. Ours split along the castellation groove.

Side Note - I can highly recommend Franklins Automotive Center in Yuma AZ. (FTSAutocenter.com) They worked with us to ensure we had the rig back at the end of the day, did the work on time and budget and treated us like we were long time customers.

Good to know. Have added Franklins to my repair facility list. When we had the nev-r-lubes put on, I was told they weren't expected to last more than 5 years.
