Washer/dryer vent question
We are installing a vented splendide washer/dryer and I have a question about vent location. We have a 3295rk that has the hookups in the closet which is above the cargo hold below. The problem is the top of the hatch door will be into the vent by a couple inches or more. I have a Crome vent louvre that sticks out a couple of inches and would interfere with latching the door wide open. One thing I could do is lower the latch so it will lock a little more open. But I am looking for any more ideas out there?

I have the same model as you. I measured for the vent and made sure that the outside door latch was above the chrome vent louvre. My vent is only a few inches above the inside floor in the closet. But that is where keystone marked for the dryer vent.
I would not move the door latch. If you did, then have to move it on the door and leave holes. Let me know if you want a picture.

Jim I think your newer model must be laid out a little different. If I lowered the vent down to the floor it would not allow me to open the cargo door at all. My unit has the hinge across the top of the door. I guess I need to take a picture to show the layout.

You could always direct vent straight down through the floor to the underside of the belly covering, and turn the louver so it faces the rear of the Montana.
I would not have though the cargo doors would have changed much.

Jim I added a couple of photos to my web link. You should be able to click the link below under my photo. The last 2 photos show the cargo door I am talking about. The vent will come out about where the lock is on the door. I do not think I can go though the floor as there is not enough room..

If you put gas shocks on the door, then you would not have to depend on the latch and the door will stay away from the vent enough that you will have no problem.

Our floor plans are different, sort of. The 4 door closet next to your door is where my washer closet is.
Good luck in finding the resolution to this. Wish I could be of more help.

Our vent goes out high enough that there is no interference with the door or latches or anything else.
One word of caution, long runs or tight turns on that vent hose may cause build up of lint. If you have lint build up, you will eventually get some wonderful error codes on the Spendide and it will stop drying and stop running in the dry cycle. It will still wash just fine.
It is now a reoccurring issue with our unit. CountryGuy is getting good at digging that lint out.

Carol, I think I am going to run it straight out thru the wall as the manual says do not run above outlet as it can collect condensate. I am going to adjust the door latch to hold the door a little farther out... Thanks for all the input. We are heading south next Thursday so hoping it gets here in the next day or so....
