Tired of shaving in the dark
While boondocking and living off the batteries I DID NOT have 12vdc lights over the bathroom mirror.
I mounted a double bulb 12vdc light above the 120vac lights.
I tapped into an existing light
I put a can in the sink to catch the screws when I dropped them. It worked!
I cut the hole and fished the wire along the ceiling.
The MAN of the house is happy.

John, this has bothered me also. It is on my list of mods to do. Whu didn't Keystone put a 12v light above the mirror? They put them everywhere else!

Shave???? I don't shave when we are on a trip.
Light is part of it but it may be I am just a little too relaxed to care.

I guess that's another reason to keep the rig we've got. 12v lights above the mirror and on the ceiling. Guess you're not supposed to boondock with certain models? Nice job on the mod John!

If 110v were not available, for my 3500RL floorplan, there are a couple overhead lights over the lavatory which would provide sufficient lighting. I could see this might not always be the case in other floorplans so H. John's mod is applicable. On the other hand if you saw what I looked like afterwards, you might suggest I do this.
It's H. John's first picture that gives me the eeby-jeebies. Tapping into the extra light (finding it, fishing it, tapping it and hoping it doesn't overload are the important parts). He showed the easy parts, or the parts I know how to do (measuring, cutting, mounting.... ) so I'm glad he's got that knowledge and talent.

My 3750 has DC lights above the mirror, I replaced them with LEDs. Don't help much with shaving tho.

LOL Rondo, on the otherhand, good light is needed to keep a goatee neat.
From the bottommost picture showing the bulbs and the light diffusion on the topmost picture, they sure do look like LED bulbs. Nice. Why am I not surprised.

John, have you ever thought of just growing a beard? It would sure be a lot easier! Kristi say's you would look very handsome. She also said a LED taplight would have worked.

running 12v lights are not going to overload the wiring. You would have to put a lot of lights and other high draw items to have a wiring problem. also if john is using led's in other lights draw won't even be an issue.

Good job! I especially like the can over the drain. My DW learned a lesson 'bout that on the last trip dropping an earring down there.

they are now putting the 12 volt lights above the bathroom sink...they have to think of ways to get you to buy a new rig

The lights above my High Country 343RL were 12 volt, but incandescent. I replaced them with LED's now they're brighter and will last forever. A win-win situation!
