The decals are probably the most noticeable, at least that is the biggest problem I’ve had with mine. I’m glad it’s only a cosmetic issue.

Mission tires seem to be a high topic of discussion with some owners.

Some people have had problems with the shackles and had to replace them.

Leaking tanks would probably rank next in line. I think most everyone has problems with the sensors showing the tank levels.

Rarely ever hear of de-lamination, hopefully it’ll stay that way.
However, I have a small area which I suspect could be the beginning of it.

Overall I’ve seen way less problems with the Monty than I have the previous M/H I had.

I’m sure others can add to the list though!

Cmp-shooter,

We have an 2002 model and have had the 'usual' problems. Shaclkes, decals, door handles, tires & wheels, light bulbs, loose wires, various screws coming loose. On our last trip the drawers in the rear kitchen came loose and fell down. The framework in the rear that holds up the back part of the drawers came loose. They only had 3 skinny little brads holding it up! I can't believe it hadn't fallen down before. Of course our television connections quit working from time to time. The cable goes bad or the barrel connector gets 'weathered'. Various parts of the body of the trailer change colors (fade or yellow) in sun.

Crank up antenna broke. Vent cover tops broke. Skylights broke. And there are many others and I'm sure others will be along to share.

We have a 2001-2 and had to replace refrig. 2005,shackles replaced, decals peeled and replaced most, replaced stool with ceramic (not because it was bad just like ceramic),replaced vent cover in stool room and tires as are normal at 5 years.
Montana replaced rubber roof 3 year (glue did not hold) and they repaired small crack at bedroom slide.
We don't think that is too bad for the years and milage it has been. Cross country twice and Rio-Grande once and to Florida eight times plus here and there many times from Va.

Replaced Chinese tires
Repaired MOR/ryde (RE) rubber spring on one side
Shackle and wet bolt kit
Repaired/replaced damaged cowling on awning (hit a tree)
Chased a leak behind the service center in water system
Replaced broken water filter bracket (used metal instead of plastic)
Replaced broken dryer serpentine belt
Installed drip pan under washer and dryer and drained out the bottom.
Replaced (under warranty) TV, Converter, Microwave/convection oven, ceiling fan capacitor, DVD/sound system, all due to an electrical hiccup of some kind.
Tightened various screws
Replaced bulbs
Dismanteled, cleaned, and replaced bulb in fireplace
Replaced anode in water heater

Just normal every day stuff. Nothing to get excited about. Deal with it when it happens.

Shower leak, cracked counter top, leaking gray tank, (MorRyde Fault), Mission tire failures, Closet door slides in Bedroom needed more screws. Recliner cracked, shower leak again. Blown TV in BR (probably I did that). Had axles cut off and MorRyde IS suspension installed, so no problems with shackles. Gray tank pull valve came off. Rechargeable flsahlight broke. That's all I can think of for now.

No fault of Monty, we had the cheap Thetford toilet paper freeze in our black valve. I don't want to relive that.
Cheap OEM recliners broke. Replaced under warranty.
Toilet came loose at the floor. Bernie repaired.
Nothing else really has gone wrong! Knock on wood!!

- After POI and brought it home we noticed the Entry door lock would engage only halfway (not fully locked). Redrilled hole, problem solved. I missed this at the POI, but it was easy enough to fix without having to go all the way back to the dealer.
- fridge broke within first two months (warranty repair).
- Front hitch light switch failed within six months (replaced it myself).
- slides stopped and started during extension and retraction. Dealer upgraded breakers under warranty.
- Worn out Suspension shackles replaced with wet shackle suspension after 2 years (paid for it at dealer service).
- Mission tire failed in 2.5 years. I requested Big O replaced all 5 tires with Goodyear Marathons at the CG. (paid for it myself)
- loose screws here and there. I attribute that to normal wear and tear.
- Day/night cord broke. Repaired it myself and learned how to adjust the others so they don't have this problem.
- Found two other cabinet door screws were loose. Did the toothpick trick and everything works fine.
- slides stopped and started again. Filled up fluid reservoir myself. Dealer never caught this.
- Bathroom/bedroom electrical failure after 3 years. Replaced GFCI breaker myself.

Nothing too bad or too unusual or too complicated. The only thing that cost me a lot was the tires. But we still love our Monty.

Not too much here.

Bedroom lights on wall quit. Found wire came loose under the bed.
Blew out the "slow" capacitor on roof air cond.
Several screws on cabinets work loose - easy fix.
Several screws broke holding the laminate on the under side of front overhang.
Fridge died. Replaced with apartment fridge and trimmed.
Apollo died. Replaced with a different unit.
Slides started/stopped. Replaced circuit breakers (separate from breaker panel inside unit).
Just had a battery die. Replaced.
Closet latches replaced.

Really, have had gr8 luck fulltiming for almost 4 years. I love my unit.
