Mountaineer 319BHS

We have been searching all over for 319BHS stats. The Keystone website still lists stats as TBA, and so I emailed Keystone requesting more info. This was a week ago, and I have not heard back from anyone.

MOC member wmott1122 also mentioned not getting his stat sticker after his purchase of the Mountaineer. Perhaps he has received info by now...but we have not. This is a mystery to us. What could be the hold-up on providing this basic information?

The 319BHS is our #1 choice for purchase right now; but we will not be purchasing this unit until the information becomes public. We would appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thanks.

Stick to your guns, Deb. Somethings just need to happen. You are at least owed and explanation. When did silence become good public relations? In the absence of information comes negative speculation every time.

Deb, have you called Keystone directly? It might not work, but it is worth a shot, especially if they can provide helpful information.

And welcome to MOC!

Thanks for your support, folks. I have not called Keystone; I e-mailed them thru their website. Calling is a good idea. I'll let you know what comes of it.

The brochure I got on Mountaineer at the Puyallup RV show had the TBA listing. This product is already a year old. I asked the salesman about the missing stats, and he rattled off some figures, and said "Oh...that's an old brochure."

Perhaps the stats the sales guy gave me are accurate. Perhaps not. Even if Keystone provides info by phone...at this point I am suspicious as to the reason why this data has not been made public. I love a good mystery, so I'll keep plugging away at this problem from time to time.

Meanwhile, we have begun looking at other 5th wheels. Thanks for the welcome.

Not sure which Mountaineer (Keystone) web site you are looking at but I believe the following link has the info you are looking for.

Glenn,

I checked the site indicated and the listing still says, "TBA."

deb,
check the site Glenn mentioned. You are right the site lists your model as TBA BUT...if you click the 2004 link it lists the 318BHS and just like our TT 327RKS the 2005 model changed model numbers but the specs were all within a few hundred lbs or less. So, yeah its not your model but you can get an idea of weight from loast year's specs. I hope that helps at least until Keystone gets back with you.

Send a message via Skype™ to padredw
All helpful suggestions, BUT I am with my friend Stiles. None of this excuses the failure of Keystone go respond to email. Calling should not be necessary. I, for one, often prefer email communication and do NOT wish to call. Failure to respond to a customer inquiry by email is inexcusable. None of the "work-arounds" should be allowed to obscure this basic failure.

According to the factory the specs for the 319 are as follows:

Gross Dry Weight (UVW) 9690
Carrying Capacity 2240
Hitch 1770
Length 35'5"
Height 12' 9"

It was an oversight that the 319 was not placed on the web but it is being corrected immediately - they apologized for the omission.

The 319 has only been in prodution since February thus the TBA on the brochures at the dealers.

Hope this helps you!

Hi everyone. Thank you, RVGuy, for providing the missing specs. I heard from Keystone yesterday, June 3rd, with this same data. I just checked the Mountaineer spec page again (the same link as Glenn provided earlier....thanks, Glenn), and 319BHS still shows TBA, but I believe Keystone will be updating their web page soon.

Jeff, regarding weights being similar to a previous year's model, you are most likely right about that. But since we are green green green, we don't really know the consequences a few hundred pounds might make (on hitch weight, for example).

And Padredw....I'm with you. Chasing after information that should be readily available leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe Keystone would like to drop a few thousand off their price to sweeten my tastebads!!
)
Thanks to all for your help.
