Sliding Garbage Can Installation (Ice maker fits)

Before everything took a turn for the worse, I did manage to get a lot of things crossed off of the to-do list. An earlier post showed a schematic of the under-sink space and the plans that I had for it. The first part of the project was completed today which was the installation of a garbage can on a sliding rack. After the rack was installed I was very pleased to learn that the portable ice maker fit exactly as I hoped it would. Now the other part of the under-sink arrangement is to install an outlet to plug the ice maker in. There is one immediately adjacent to this area which I see no use for, so I will probably just extend an outlet off of it.

Here is the area of interest:

And the view after the goodies were installed:

And another view showing the garbage can extended. As a bonus, the ice maker lid has just enough room to be fully opened. Still trying to figure out how to get the sink and stove covers stored in the same area:

Another task accomplished was to install a strap system to hold the dryer in place. The installer simply set the dryer on the upper shelf which was troublesome to me. I added a couple of eye bolts on each side of the dryer to which I affixed a ratchet strap and the dryer is definitely not moving now. Took a pic or two but not sure how well it is visible, the first attempted to show the eye bolt location:

And the second shows the ratchet strap in place:

Also got a couple of cabinet racks for DW put in and verified the new HD Directv receiver worked properly. Other than the evening snafu, a pretty good day!

Bingo
