Shocks
Need to replace the shocks on 2007 dodge mega cab as one is leaking. I'm looking for some guidance. I just bought the Monatana 3400 RL and want to make sure I get the correct shocks.
Looking forward to the response..

If one goes bad I replace both with the best replacement NAPA has. That way if I have a problem under warranty I can deal with NAPA almost anywhere I am.

I have Rancho shocks on my F-350, and they seem to work very well.

X2 on the bilsteins.
www.genosgarage.com has the best price on them I have seen.
Merry Christmas.

On my previous truck, Dodge 2500, I had Rancho 9000's on it. I really liked them because you can adjust the settings on each of them to handle your situation for the ride you like or load you carry.

The OEMS on my Ford are Ranchos, but I don't think they are particular fancy, but they seem to work fine. I've heard good things about Bilsteins but never owned any. Most prior vehicles I've owned had shocks that didn't have anything on them so I don't know who provided them. All I know is that they shouldn't be leaking!

I put Munroe Reflex on my 0'6 GM dually and was very happy with the ride compared to OEM. They are designed for light trucks and towing.
They are the same shock as a Rancho model, I think RSX?

The OEM Ranchos on our Fords aren't really Ranchos in the true sense. They buy the right from Rancho to use their name but they aren't really equal to the better Rancho shocks. That said, when I replace my shocks I will only use Bilstein. They aren't cheap but like the old adage you get what you pay for. They are the best in my book.

thanks for all the information, i had all four changed out with the NAPA shock. the lower rubber bushing on both front shock were all but gone, the blown shock was just that "Blown"! new to the site and thought this would be a great place to get the "veterans 2 cents", i'm looking forward to future info as i'm as green as it gets to this whole 5th wheel deal.
thanks again!
fyi, -10 degrees at the south rim of the Grand Canyon this morning!

I have KYB gas adjust on my 06 Mega Cab and love them. They were easy to install.
