BFG Rugged Terrain vs Goodyear Wrangler AT/S

Time for new truck tires. Comparing the BFG Rugged Terrain to the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. Size 275/65/60R. This maybe a "pick one" it doesn't matter, but I thought I would ask. Any opinions?

It's been a few years since I had the Wrangler but they were pretty good tires. I got more miles out of the Rugged Trail T/A, though. Both this truck and the prior truck came OEM with the BFG Rugged Trail T/A. On the first truck I replaced them with more of the same thing at 70k miles. They had 5k to 10k left on the tread when I replaced them. This truck is getting similar wear. I think either of the tires you mentioned would do the job for you. When I wear these out I'll go with another set of the BFG's.

For my money, Michelin tires. Have never gotten as good service out of any other brand.

Ive been using BFG for a long time now and have had really good luck with them. The tire your looking at is a newer tire. I just put them on the wifes xterra about a month ago. Time will tell on how well they wear.

I love the tread pattern. So far on wet roads she love them!

Everyone has their favorite, mine is the GY Wrangler Silent Armor, has Kevlar belts, an aggresive tread pattern, yet runs quiet and good mileage, rated excellent for wet, ice, and that nasty white stuff. I took off the OEM Michelins at 2600 miles and put on the Silent Armors. Had them on our 05 Dually and still looked almost new with 35K on them.

Thanks for the feedback folks. It turns out that the Rugged Trail are on backorder, so I may have to go with the Wranglers or wait awhile. I'm also putting G614's on the Monty at the same time.
