Dark streaks on Carpet

Does anyone else have streaks from the slides on the light carpet? We get these in both the bedroom and living room in our 2955rl. Could cleaning the underside of the slide before moving help eliminate them?

We get marks on our carpet from time to time. I clean the carpet with a product that was on TV one time. It is called Pink Magic. It was an oxygenated product. Resolve is another. Another product simular to the Pink Magic is Sun Oxygen Cleaner from walmart.
Road grit and lubericant can get on the rollers and need to be cleaned from time to time off the carpet. Just dont't use any product with clorine in it.

There was some discussion on here awhile back about some plastic strips you lay on the carpet before bringing your slides in. I haven't had any luck in the search section yet, but someone will be along to let you know where to look.

We don't have the dark streaks (did on our 3295) but have definite wheel tracks in the carpet. Bought two sets of "Slide Slickers" from Dale during the Goshen Rally.

If you're interested, you might try emailing MIMF/Dale.

Here's the website for the Slideout Slickers ... some think they are a little pricey, but they definitely help with streaks and carpet wear. http://www.quickdrawproducts.com/ They are located in Kansas. Fast shipping.

Thanka all. We use Resolve for maintenance and it works to keep the spots out. We will look at the strips since prevention is so much easier than repair.

Cheers
