Leave the mattress you have and put a 4 inch natural latex foam topper on it. Natural latex is the best mattress material made. It’s very heavy so it supports you better than any other foam and at the same time it’s very soft so there is no pressure points.

You must go to Camping World and buy at their outrageous prices and the description MUST include "Official RV Mattress"!

CW would like you to do that but of course you can buy any mattress you want from anyone you want as long as it fits the space provided.

We prefer the standard Queen and have a regular home type memory foam in our rig and it fits just fine. We left the garbage mattress that came with our 2018 at the dealer and put ours in it's place. Many people seem to like the Sleep Number.

Maybe another option could be a new mattress custom made. We had a natural latex mattress made, and it had to be the radius corner RV king like our rig came with, and the custom mattress company made it with heavier latex for the core with lighter latex on both sides. It is also made to flip, so that is better than the original, too. It cost us a bit less than $500 a couple years ago. It sleeps great and weighs much less than the innerspring mattress that it replaced.

We ordered a Brentwood RV King mattress from Amazon. It has not arrived yet. I can report back after we get it if you want. It came highly recommended. The only issue is that the mattress is 13" thick and the little night stands are 11" off the bed. We are going to try to squeeze it in, and if that does not work, then we will either try to raise the night stands or remove them. They only overhang an inch or two.

Our previous trailer (SOB) had a memory foam mattress. For the first couple of months, it was the most comfortable mattress we had ever slept on. Then the memory foam lost its memory and we could see big dents where we both slept. I tried a mattress topper, but it was like sleeping in a canyon as it sunk into the dents. We ended up replacing that mattress. It was a queen, so it did not end up in the new Monty.

www.mattressinsider.com. We bought our foam Mattress from them. American made with American made materials. They have RV mattresses and make them. Great customer service and they have toppers. We decided to buy 8" mattress from them. It was the cool max.

Any thoughts on the I-relax memory foam mattress? That's what our rig came with. We have not used it yet but it seems like a nice one. If it's to firm we will put a foam topper on it like we have done in other rigs.

I have a friend who owns a furniture store. He makes mattresses. So to see what other mattress manufacturers are making He buys high end mattresses and cuts them open to see what they are made of. There is a reason mattress covers don’t have a zipper on them it’s to cover up the cheap foam and other materials. You would not believe the cheap Wal Mart grade foam in expensive mattresses. It’s no wonder they start to sagg in a few years.

Plus two for mattressinsider.com. We dumped the awful king that came on the bed, cut down the frame and installed their 8" mattress. We don't need a king bed and the room to maneuver around it was nil so this one makes things sooooo much easier. I did try and stuff a foam topper under the nightstands but it was doubly impossible to make the darn thing.

We had the dealer take out the king mattress and put the nice queen we had in our SOB when we traded for the 3400RL. When we got home I cut down the plywood and, like Ray and Susan said, we have lots of room to maneuver around. Bed making is easier as is getting into the closet.

That would never work. Although the dog is small he does take up a little room. When I sleep it is on my right side and I never move until I wake. Wifey on the other hand flops around all night like a guppy out of water.
