Montana Warranty
We are in the process of buying a 5er for fulltiming. We have settled on a Montana and have visited several dealers to check them out. One of the last questions we asked at the last dealer was are Montana's warrentied for fulltime use and the dealer's answer was no! I was real disappointed in this answer. Is this in fact correct Montana's not warrentied for fulltime use?

So how would they know you were full time. Its no concern to Keystone. The dealer provides the warranty.

Excerpt from the warranty:
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND THE OBLIGATIONS STATED HEREIN SHALL NOT APPLY TO:
Trailers used for business, rental, commercial, residential, or disaster relief purposes, or any purposes • other than recreational travel and family camping
So I suppose it would be dependent on Keystone/Dealers interpretation of "Residential". Please note that I have never heard of anyone's warranty claim being denied on this basis. If anyone has had a claim denied for this, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

I have never heard of any fulltimers having their warranty voided

Many full timers here on MOC have had warranty issues, not denied because of that clause.
Believe me, there are a lot of managment that knows who our (MOC) full timers are, and are on first name basis with them, (from our Fall Rallies).
Service center has done repairs for a lot of full timers too, full timers known to top management.
I have not heard of a case of denial of warranty for this reason.
Note my disclaimer, I HAVE NOT HEARD.

Had a few warranty claims early on and Keystone stepped up to the plate. Minor issues, I would agree, but warranty work nonetheless. Residential usually means set up PERMANENTLY somewhere (as in wheels off or on fixed supports). I have been fulltiming since we bought ours and although we live in it permanently we are still recreating in it. Buy that Montana and do not worry about it. I would suggest a thorough PDI BEFORE you pay for it.
By the way, my warranty work was performed by dealers along the road, NOT my selling dealer, which was in Alaska. I always called ahead to arrange an appointment and never had a problem.......

Our dealer knew we were going to live in ours full time and he never denied any warranty repairs. Neither did Keystone when we went to the plant.

Folks full time in every brand, every price range. We live in our 3400 most of the year and that has never come up in Warranty repairs. I am not even sure of what "warrantied for full time use means"
There are some high dollar brands that are "certified for full time use" but I do not believe that for a second. This 3400 is a "all season unit" which means we can freeze or roast in all 4 seasons.

Rich, if we couldn't feel the outside temperature, how would we know whether to turn on the AC or the heat!

We somehow let both tanks of Propane go empty. This morning at 6:15 AM the outside temp was 39 degrees. The inside temp was 51 degrees. We keep 3 tanks so we had a full one in standby.
My new count indicates that we are on our 8th tank of propane in December here in Florida near Disney world. We had two days of temps in the mid 20's at night and mid 50's in the day with winds at 15/20 gust to 30/35. Our breezy when windy package was working well and the camper was noticeably colder and the furnace ran nearly all the time. Yesterday the wind died down and the furnace ran at a normal rate and the camper felt warmer. Our electric and propane bill will be astronomical for December. However......no snow and we just threw some Florida sand over our water hoses to keep them from freezing.
