Hidden bureau storage
The dw told me last night the bureau was falling apart or in her words, the wood is coming of the bureau. I went over and looked at it and there it was, the whole left side had little storage shelves. You learn something new everyday, it only took a year to find. Am I the only one that didn't know it existed or has this happened to anyone else.

maybe it was just a secret for us. Hopefully someone else will come clean and I won't feel as bad.

OK, I took the flashlight and looked over our bureau (dresser drawers) inside and out. No hidden compartments. How disappointing. I guess we didn't rate one or you guys are pulling our leg. We had the hidden key compartment. We took that door off as it was a nuisance and certainly not very secret -- gives us more storage in that cabinet.

The whole left side of the bureau pops open when you push in on it. It has a few shelves and a couple hooks, like you say for keys. I am just amazed it took ua a year to notice it.

OK, I think we are talking about two different places. When I think of a bureau, I think of a dresser drawers, which in our unit is next to the sink. The key holder in our unit was in the cabinet next to the mirrored closets. We took that key door out because every time we arrived some place it had come open. Not something we wanted. Plus it gave us more storage area without the door. But, you had me looking with a flashlight into every place I could because I was excited that maybe there was another hidden secret. Kind of like a "snipe hunt." You got me!

We remember several years ago at the Tampa RV show a salesman showed us the "hidden" compartment in whatever Montana model we were in at the time. It was in the window valance in the bedroom. When we got our 09 Big Sky, we saw that the window boxes had been changed and the compartment was not there. This salesman had no idea as Montana's were new to him. We discovered the one in the end panel of the dresser by accident, much as BJJ5633 did. Still have not used it for anything!

Not a year, but it was several months. Had some hard roads one day, with lots of banging around, and when we set up for the night, there it was, open!

We also keep our spare $100.00 bills in there. By the way ours is empty.
I'm sure glad we are all keeping the compartments a secret.

I'm feeling really left out! No secret hiding places in our bureau. But then I guess we don't need it because we don't have any spare $100 bills laying around.

We have searched our '03 3255RL but alas Montana must not have started the 'Hidden Compartment' accessory game that early. I feel left out, but then I thought what if I build a secret compartment in the rig, maybe people will send us $100 bills to put in it?????

Man, there seems to be money flying (or hiding) all over the place. I, for one, WILL still bend over to pick up a penny, and that seems to be all I can find to put in our "hiding" place. We too found the hidey holes in our '07 3400. The key rack in the bedroom window valance woodwork, and the one at the top as well. No $100 bills in that one, but makes a great place to store the LED flashlight. Of course, there is also the storage under the bed when you lift it up, and the "safe" in there too, but the only thing that I find when I open the safe are moths flying out!!! Guess I could start putting the pennies in there to keep them company!
