Prayers for members GloriaD and family

Gloria Dunnavant has notified a few of us here at MOC that her beloved Jimmy passed away last evening in the Richmond Virginia area.

She asked that I notify the MOC, I offered her my prayers and tears.

I will post additional information in a few days, hopefully there will be contact information for those of you who wish to express your sympathies to her and her family. Until then your prayers in the privacy of your home will be greatly appreciated.

Carol

From the online version of today's Richmond Times Dispatch, the link is:

http://www.legacy.com/TimesDispatch/...sonId=18431353

I am getting 2 of those red x boxes, not sure what the story is, I tried to reload the page 2 times.

The text is:

James Loyd Dunnavant Jr., 62, of Chesterfield Co., passed away July 10, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Cheryl Franck (Jim) and Marjorie Monger (Mark); son, James Loyd Dunnavant III (Holly); and five grandchildren. He retired from the Teamsters Local 592. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 14, 11 a.m. at Chester Baptist Church, 4317 West School Street, Chester, Va. Friends and family will be gathering at the home following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hearts United for Animals, P.O. Box 286, Auburn, Nebraska 68305.

There is a Guest Book here, which I also could not get to load.

On EDIT: For your information, from the link in this thread the page loaded correctly and the Guest Book page also opened correctly.

Thanks Carol, we of course have added our prayers for Gloria and family. It is sad when anyone dies, but it is heaartbreaking to read Gloria D's profile and realize how recently they retired.
I think they had about 3 months before Jim became ill in the RGV last winter. I still clearly remember that ambulance siren as it wailed its way from the distance right into the campground.
Our sympathy goes out to Gloria and we do hope that with time her pain will heal.

So, so sorry for your loss. Words for the moment escape expression. Prayers for courage, and comfort in your season of grief will be offered. Paint yourself a portrait in your mind and heart. Use the colors of joy, companionship, and fond memories and he will live for you always.

Gloria, we are praying for you at this time of your loss. We followed your trip back to VA last winter and admired the courage you both had to do it yourselves.
