Lowes has a good selection. We bought a 4 cu ft refer/freezer and keep it in the front cabinet where our W/D normally go. We don't have the W/D so it fits good. It does get a little warm in that closet so we leave the closet doors open alot. Listing your model number in your signature would help us determine what may be best for you. Try listing your tow vehicle also for when you have questions. BTW: Welcome to The Best Darned Forum on the WWW!!!!

Jim maybe richfaa will jump in here on this thread. He had a 3400 and just upgraded to a new 3750 but had a small chest freezer in place of one of the recliners in his old unit! I don't know if he has put the freezer in his new unit but that's how he solved his freezer dilema!
I was just up by Olympia a week ago in Rainier! You live in great part of the country! By the way, welcome to MOC. Check us out for the Central Plains Rally coming up in July here in Nebraska! Mark it down and come on down for it!!

We got one recently from Target. It fits in nicely and Target puts them on sale occasionally for $125.

No Rondo that was Bingo that upgraded.. We do have a 7.5 Cu foot freezer, front open that we purchased at Home depot for @ 300.00. We had to remove one of the recliners in the 3400 to make room but it is well worth it. Not a problem in keeping it cold on a 8 or 10 hours road trip.

We've got two, with both almost full of fish and blue crabs! One Avanti upright (cabinet height), and one about like Rich described from Lowe's. I like the upright, with the slide out baskets, but it sure needs defrosting regular.

Try Mini freezers at Bizrate big selection and a lot of sizes. These are just freezers not combos.

We have an Avanti upright and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have it. It allows me to buy those big pkgs of meat at Costco and also do some freezer jam and applesauce when we are out west. It sure tastes good in the winter time. We also put it in the w/d closet. I can't remember where we got it, but ordered on line and got free shipping (2 yrs ago).

Last year we went to Home Depot and bought a small refirgerator with a seperate freezer on the top. Now when we are in the store and find a good buy on meat or fish we have room to store it. It is also nice for keeping the drinks cold. We keep ours under the front of the trailer in the canvas "room". It fits in the back seat of my truck when traveling.

We bought a 5.9 Cu Ft at Sears last year. I also added solar panels. Although the weather was overcast much of the month I still had to use the generator to keep up. We are ordering the Avanti 2.9 Cu Ft. Hopefully it's a better match for the solar system.
Just for fun, Google "Norcold freezer". Norcold makes a freezer / refrigerator that looks like an ice chest and runs on 120V or 12VDC. It has a thermostat that you can adjust from refrigerator temps or turn it down to freezer temps. Kinda pricey from $1000 - $1500. I found one on Craigslist last week for $150.00. It will fit and run on 12V in the back seat or in storage below in the Monty. Enjoy the hunt,

We have the same Avanti model...it is 32 7/8" high and fits nicely under the end of the sink cabinet.
